FAQs

Does It Hurt?

Not typically. A strong topical anesthetic is applied to the skin before and during the procedure.  In rare cases, some people may feel a bit of discomfort.  If you have heard stories of severe pain, either the anesthetic was weak or it was not left long enough.

How Long Will It Last?

This varies greatly from client to client, depending on various factors including but not limited to: skin type, aftercare, and daily skincare regimen, with a wide range of 1-2 years.  Generally, re-treatment is recommended every 10-12 months to maintain the optimum look.  If you have heard of longer durations from others, it simply isn't true, at least not with an appearance maintained similar to the original application.

How Long Does It Take To Heal?

The initial, superficial healing will take about 7-10 days, during which you will need to be careful to follow instructions exactly!  After this, it takes about 4-6 weeks for the entire healing process, after which you can schedule your re-touch appointment.

Can I Bring A Friend?

There is limited space in the salon and it is a long meticulous process.  If you need  someone to reassure you of the excellent work you are receiving, we just ask that they not hover over the stylist.

Is It Safe?

Absolutely.  The process is regulated and the stylist is highly trained.  All tools and accessories are sterile and are changed between every client.
